When I think Chicago, I still think crabs. A Cook County Health Department spokeswoman says test results have confirmed that the number of people who contracted norovirus food poisoning connected to Bob Chinn's Crab House in Wheeling, Illinois, has now risen to 146. Case investigations are ongoing, but at this time a source for the virus has not been identified.

A Hailsham holiday maker is among 134 claimants in a massive High Court action against cruise giants, Fred Olsen Cruise Lines which could potentially cost the company millions of pounds in compensation. In a joint writ issued at London’s High Court and just made publicly available, the claimants alleged they picked up norovirus.

Twenty-two people were ill with norovirus after a work Christmas party at an Upper Hutt restaurant in New Zealand. Wellington medical officer of health Margot McLean said 22 of 39 people who dined at the restaurant last Saturday night all became ill between 10 and 50 hours after the meal.
