“Good Glen and the Bad Eggs” – an egg food safety app developed by the NSW Food Authority is raising awareness around the world about the safest eggs to eat. The NSW Food Authority worked with developer, Apparent to develop the app which aims to help children, as well as adults, learn about egg safety.

Food handlers throughout the supply chain – from workers in field to the supermarket deli – play an integral and vital role in the safety of the products they handle. After all, the policies and procedures that require so much time, money and effort to perfect, are only as good as the training and behavior of the employees following them.

A food safety trainer in New Brunswick says a new course that will certify employees who deal directly with food is extremely important. The New Brunswick government will require any restaurant employees who deal with food to be certified as of July 1.
