Under a proposed change in federal food safety rules, up to 175 chicken carcasses a minute would whiz by a single government inspector as he attempted to check them for signs of contamination or other problems.

Euphoria Fancy Food Inc. at 149-151 2nd Ave. Brooklyn NY 11215 is recalling DRIED BREAM discovered by New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets Food Inspectors during a routine inspection and subsequent analysis of product by Food Laboratory personnel confirming that the fish was not properly eviscerated prior to processing.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has slapped censorship on 35 reports of its results of random-sample checks to determine the accuracy of grading by L.H. Gray and Sons Ltd. and of Maple Lynn and Sons Ltd. which is controlled by Burnbrae Farms Ltd. The two companies account for more than 90 per cent of the egg grading in Ontario.

BETHLEHEM -- The governor of Bethlehem district is blocking a decision by the Palestinian Authority ministry of health to destroy tons of potentially dangerous food products. The minister of health, Hani Abdeen, issued a decision Wednesday to incinerate 24 tons of fish found to be contaminated with listeria, a bacteria that kills an estimated 20 percent of people it infects.
