    The Restaurant Monitor is a weekly listing of scores for restaurants inspected by the Brazos County Health Department. Inspection scores are on a 100-point scale. Generally, scores below 80 might cause the department to schedule a follow-up visit. A score below 70 results in the suspension of an establishment's health permit.

    The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) today stated that three Closure Orders and two Prohibition Orders were served on food businesses during the month of April for breaches of food safety legislation pursuant to the FSAI Act, 1998.  The Orders were issued by environmental health officers (EHOs) in the HSE North East region, the HSE West region and the HSE Dublin Mid Leinster region.

    With today's trend away from home-cooked meals, it is obvious that millions of Americans are eating out or picking up food to consume at home, and the numbers are climbing. Because our very health is at stake, that means we're trusting others who prepare our food to be as clean in their kitchens as we are at home.

    President Obama and veep Joe Biden strolled over to Arlington for lunch at Ray's Hell-Burger today. It's likely their staffs didn't vet the place, given its latest restaurant inspection report by the Arlington Health District (listed under "Butcher Burger" which is apparently the true name of the joint).

    COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A local restaurant that has been serving customers for more than 40 years appeared before Columbus Public Health officials Monday. Shades Restaurant at 983 E. 5th Ave. had 11 critical food-safety violations during a CPH inspection Thursday, March 19.

    Health records for St. Joseph’s largest Chinese buffet speak dread: an allegation the owner tried to bribe an inspector, rats in the kitchen, cross-contaminated foods in the cooler, dirty utensils in the dining room, an entire buffet at an unsafe temperature.

It contains details of the county's most recent inspection reports and enables users to compare three establishments to see which has the best compliance rating.

    Stanly County Health Department Environmental Health Specialists are required to inspect local restaurants and food establishments throughout the year. All restaurants and food establishments’ inspection sheets, ServSafe Manager Course points, and smoking status are posted on the Stanly County website at www.co.stanly.nc.us.
