ROCK ISLAND -- Three new lawsuits have been filed against the Milan McDonalds in connection with last summer's Hepatitis A outbreak. For the first time, the suits also name Trinity Health Systems and Metro Lab as ''respondents in discovery''. That means lawyers want to hear what the medical facilities knew and when, and could file suit at a later date.

There's been a lot of concern about the impact of swine flu on college campuses, and certainly the pandemic has had some effect already on college sports teams. But we certainly hope we'll never again see anything like what happened to the Holy Cross football team in 1969.

But Spencer was not away at a tropical, all-inclusive resort -- she was 15 years old and at a summer camp near Toronto.
