    I used to think Hell was a continuous loop of Entertainment E-News or Leonard Cohen songs. Now I’m convinced it’s a continuous loop of any show on Bravo. I go to sleep early; Amy winds down by watching bad TV on the computer, including the Real Housewives of Anywhere, and Millionaire Matchmaker (optimistic bias?).

    Things have gone from bad to worse for British celebrity chef Antony Worrall Thompson, who was arrested after shoplifting cheese and wine at a Tesco grocery store. The Courier Mail reports that Worrall Thompson, 60, was arrested in front of astonished customers after five shoplifting episodes in just 16 days.

    Fox Sports is reporting legendary Brazilian soccer captain Socrates died Sunday at the age of 57 after suffering an intestinal infection. The star of the 1982 World Cup was rushed to Sao Paulo's Albert Einstein Hospital late Thursday after suffering food poisoning and was said to be in critical condition in its intensive care unit Saturday.

    Blame it on the steak. Spanish cyclist Alberto Contador went to sport's highest court on Monday to argue his case that contaminated meat caused his positive drug test at the 2010 Tour de France. Contador did not speak to reporters as he arrived at the Court of Arbitration for Sport for a four-day hearing into one of the most scrutinized doping cases of recent years.

    Aerosmith frontman, American Idol judge and androgynous scarf-model Steven Tyler fell in his shower this morning in a Paraguay hotel, requiring treatment for injuries to his face, including loss of teeth. Sources connected with Tyler told TMZ dude was suffering from dehydration caused by a bout of food poisoning.

    Five Mexican soccer players who tested positive for clenbuterol before the Gold Cup will not face sanctions after FIFA determined the tests were caused by contaminated meat. The World Anti-Doping Agency said Wednesday it had dropped its appeal at the Court of Arbitration for Sport, where it planned to challenge a Mexico Football Federation decision clearing the players of doping.
