ASHLAND, ORE.-- Artisan Confections Company is voluntarily recalling a limited quantity of its Dagoba Organic Chocolate new moon Rich Dark Chocolate 74% cacao 0.32 ounce squares because they may contain Salmonella. No other sizes or Dagoba items are involved in this recall.

Salmonella sickened eight people at Homewood at Crumland Farms nursing home in Frederick, Maryland over the past four months. The News-Post reports one person died after being hospitalized for salmonella, although Homewood's executive director, Eric Nichols, said the death was from other complications.

Bravo Farms is recalling all of its cheese after state inspectors found evidence of Listeria and E. coli contamination at its Traver plant. Jonathan Van Ryn, a partner in Bravo Farms, said inspectors with the California Department of Food and Agriculture confirmed evidence of E. coli at the plant on Friday and Listeria on Tuesday.

THE Dairy Development Authority (DDA) and the Police on Friday impounded over 250 containers and jerry cans containing milk in an operation aimed at maintaing the quality and safety of the raw milk sold by mobile vendors.
