    The number of cases of E. coli associated with eating Leadbetter Cowboy Beef Burgers has risen to five with at least one more suspected case being investigated. "We wouldn't be surprised if we had some more cases reported," said Ontario's Associate Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. David Williams.

    Hundreds of hotels in the UK and the U.S. could bring legal action against a controversial travel website over claims that its reviews are defamatory. More than 400 hotel and restaurant businesses have indicated they are prepared to join a 'group defamation action' against TripAdvisor which claims to be the world's biggest travel site.

    This newspaper doesn't print local restaurant inspections. It isn't for a lack of trying. Past attempts ground to a halt for a variety of reasons — mostly a lack of detailed information and because the records were unavailable electronically. Even now, inspections aren't easy to get.

    Moose FM 100.9 in Kapuskasing (that’s in Ontario, Canada) reports the Porcupine Health Unit continues to investigate a cluster of salmonella cases in the Cochrane district. No specific cause has been found yet. The investigation was prompted by a number of cases in Cochrane where seven cases of salmonella have now been confirmed.
