    DUBAI -- A toddler in Dubai died last week after he and his mother were admitted to a hospital with symptoms of food poisoning, the doctor who tried to save his life said yesterday.

    A stray cat taken by someone to a family gathering in Delaware, USA resulted in 17 people from 4 states undergoing rabies post-exposure treatment. The kitten was found by the side of the road, taken to the gathering (it's unclear whether it was found on the way there or earlier) and when it became ill after the gathering, it was diagnosed with rabies.

    As a Canadian in America, watching the health-care advertisements, warning that any new U.S. system will be socialized like in Canada is as informative as watching a Michael Moore documentary.
    Both are widely inaccurate.
    Same with the orgy of listeria-in-Canada coverage following the release of the Weatherill report yesterday.

    Mike Taylor is my hero, and the hero of many others also. And yet there are those who probably cringed when it was announced that he was coming back to DC politics as the Senior Advisor to the Commissioner at the FDA.
