Rusty's may be nearing its last chance to clean up before facing legal action for food safety violations.
Rusty's Last Chance restaurant and bar, 1211 Moro St., is under administrative review after three poor inspections by the Riley County Health Department, which makes regular, unannounced checks of all food service establishments in the area.
It's now up to the Kansas Department of Agriculture, the body that oversees restaurant inspections, to decide whether to send the report to its legal department for further action, said Steve Moris, program manager for the Division of Food Safety and Lodging at the KSDA.
