Conklin, NY -- In an era when customers make their restaurant selections increasingly more based on the cleanliness of a restaurant, food safety and sanitation is more important than ever. Keeping It Kleen, a national leader in food safety and sanitation responded with a comprehensive program that helps restaurants stay on top of the many issues related to food safety and cleanliness.
To assist restaurants in dealing with this important topic, Keeping It Kleen’s web-based training and testing program teaches all restaurant employees, regardless of aptitude, the basic best practices regarding food handling. “We see so many restaurants that deal with food safety and sanitation only on the day of a health inspection, and that’s a dangerous approach.” said Julie Lovelass, Director of Operations for Keeping It Kleen. “We applaud Bombers Burrito Bar’s commitment in keeping the food they serve safe,” Lovelass added.
“Food safety is a priority to us and Keeping It Kleen helps make it part of our daily culture” said Jimmy Vann, Vice President of Bombers Burrito Bar. Starting July 1, restaurants in Albany County will be required to post a prominent sign near the front entrance to announce a simple, clear verdict of county health inspections: excellent, good, fair or unsatisfactory. “We are confident that we as an organization are prepared for these inspection changes” said Vann "and now we want to show our customers that we are taking our commitment of food safety to the next level.” Bombers will be using the Keeping It Kleen platform to train and re-train their employees on the basic best practices of food safety and sanitation while monitoring their progress.
