Although unconfirmed, the team from Thimphu public health department said the cause of illness among 12 students of Nganglam school on May 13 was water or food borne.
The 12 students had complained of high fever, vomiting and diarrhoea, some of whom were admitted to the basic health unit.
The team visited Nganglam, fearing if it was a similar case as that of the Orong one, where two students of the school died from chronic nutritional deficiency on December 3 and December 12 last year.
Health unit records show four more students were admitted in last three days, complaining of the same symptoms.
