A children’s nursery say they are devastated after a suspected E.coli outbreak and that the welfare of the kids is their primary concern.
Tri Ceffyl Bach in Amlwch has been temporarily closed by public health officials after a child was diagnosed with the deadly bug and is now recovering at home.
Another three children at the nursery and two adults linked to the daycare centre have also been unwell. No one has required hospital treatment.
Yesterday owners Julie Hughes and Alma Bingham said they remained confident that the original infection was contracted outside of the nursery and were doing all they could to support the investigation by health officials.
They said: “We are extremely concerned about the confirmed infection of E.coli O157 of a child that attends our nursery.
“We support the interim closure to prevent any spreading and our primary concern, as always, is the welfare of the children.”
