Rome -- Experts have said that one should not be afraid of the 'killer bacteria' since washing one's hands provides protection and following basic hygiene rules is necessary. "All infective diseases could be reduced by simply washing one hands," said Walter Ricciardi, director of the Institute of Hygiene at the Catholic University in Rome and president of the third section of the Health Ministry's Higher Council, talking to AGI. "This is a simple procedure that is all too often ignored," reiterated Ricciardi, "and lowers the risk of contagion by 50%."
