A four-year-old girl who almost died on a holiday flight arrived home yesterday after a week-long ordeal.
Little Vegas MacBeth was flown back to Scotland with her parents Karin and Alex by British Airways, who came to the rescue when holiday firm Thomson refused to foot the bill.
The Record told last week how the family's holiday flight from Egypt to Scotland made a lifesaving stop in Athens after a doctor on board warned that Vegas - suffering from a bug similar to E coli - might not make it home.
Vegas - who suffers from rare kabuki syndrome, which affects her major organs - was given drugs to fight the bacteria shigella.
Vegas, who had heart surgery within a week of being born, was one of a number of tourists struck by food poisoning at the four-star Tropicana Sea Beach resort in Sharm-el-Sheikh.
