A man has died and more than 70 people have been taken ill on board a cruise liner berthed at Invergordon in Easter Ross, it has emerged.
The winter vomiting bug, norovirus, is thought to have taken hold on the Marco Polo, which has about 400 passengers.
NHS Highland said tests were under way to establish that the outbreak was caused by norovirus.
